How do I open a chart and add some trading rules ?
When you start the SF-Station, the wizard window appears, which will guide you through the process. You can always reactivate this wizard by choosing it from the menu ‘Manual’.
 

How do I add indicators to my chart ?
Simply choose ‘Indicators’ from the menu ‘System’ and select some indicators from more than 150 Indicators.
 

How do I change the timeframe of my intra day chart ?
Choose ‘Chartproperties’ from the menu ‘System’ and set your preferred timeframe down to 1 minute. If you like to work with a smaller timeframe, select ‘Tickchart’ as Charttype, and set the resolution down to 1 Tick. Make sure that you are disconnected from your data feed.

Data feed

How do I receive real time data with the SF-Station ?
To select and configure your data feed connection, choose ‘Chartproperties’ and select ‘Realtime’. Now select the data feed you want to use for your chart. You can select different data feeds for different charts!
 

How do I receive free real time quotes from the Internet ?
Select ‘Internet’ as data feed. Now add the address you want to receive quotes from. Set the filter parameters to extract the quote data.
 

Do you know some internet sites from which I will get real time quotes?
The SF-Station has several pre-configured internet configurations, so you will be able to receive quotes of lots of indices, stocks, options and futures for free. Most of them are real time.

J-Trader, MTrade pro and Proptrader

How do I connect the SF-Station to my Patsystems client ?
Choose ‘Chartproperties’, ‘Realtime’ and ‘Patsystems’. If you connect the first time to your Patsystem client, follow the instructions in the manual.
 

Which quotes do I receive from my Patsystems client ?
You will receive the quotes of all symbols that your Client handles. This may include nearly all Futures worldwide.
 

I don’t work with a Patsystems client yet. How do i get it ?
You need to open an account with a futures broker, that works with Patsystems. Have a look at portfolio-concept.
 

What is the difference between the real time data of Patsystems and a free source from the internet ?
The real time data of Patsystems is a high quality tick by tick data feed. With this, you are able to trade the futures markets. Sources from the internet only give you snapshots of the markets.
 

Yesterday, I was not online and could not receive real time data. How do I get the missing data ?
For only €20 per month, you will be able to connect to our ‘just in time’ intra day tick database. It does not matter if you are out of the house for an hour or on holiday for two weeks. When you connect to your Patsclient to receive real time quotes with the SF-Station, all data gaps are closed automatically. We offer this service for most of the standard future contracts.
 

I cannot change the timeframe for my intra day chart ?
The timeframe isn’t changeable while you are connected to your data feed. Just disconnect from it to change the timeframe.

Trading systems and Indicators

How do I start developing a trading system ?
The most simple way to develop your own trading system is to take a given trading system and to modify it for your needs. Add indicators and rules to one of the trading systems that come with the SF-Station.
 

How do I optimize a trading system ?
Choose ‘Edit current orderrule’, then select ‘Optimization’. You have to choose the method of optimization and the range for the parameter you want to optimize.
 

Are the trading systems that come with the SF-Station, performing well in the futures markets ?
The trading systems that come with the SF-Station work on several markets. It is your part to find the right trading system for your market and make the changes that will improve its performance.
 

Who can manage my capital with professional trading systems ?
Daxdaytrader offers some selected trading systems that can be traded from a etablished futuresbroker.
